The DMS ADVANCED BLOWER SYSTEM wastewater treatment system provides superior Ultra-filtration with the Domestic Membrane System filters.

The Domestic Membrane System is an Advanced Secondary Treatment system with Nutrient Removal.

Completed DMS systemSimply put, the DMS Membrane is a physical barrier separating solid particles from clear liquid.

The DMS Membrane pores are so small that most bacteria and viruses are unable to pass through.

The mean pore diameter of the DMS Membrane is only 35 millionths of a millimetre (0.000035mm).

In comparison, the diameter of an enteric bacteria (E-Coli) is approx 1000ths of a millimetre (0.001mm) so that the smaller pore diameter of the DMS Membrane represents an impassable barrier for these bacteria.

The system has two forms of disinfection - Membrane and UV Light - neither of which leave any residue.

The DMS system is ideal for small blocks or blocks with natural water courses or neighbours in close proximity.

Maintenance of your Domestic Membrane System

All sewage treatment systems require regular maintenance to ensure that the effluent quality consistently meets the standards set by the regulating authority. To ensure that your DMS plant performs to the highest standards, a maintenance program is stipulated by the local authority in the interests of environmental health and safety. Failure to have these stipulated services carried out could result in a breach of public health legislation and subsequent legal proceedings.

Once your DMS is installed, you are assured of total peace of mind. Our technicians will check, service and maintain your system on a 6-monthly basis under the complimentary first year maintenance agreement, and emergency after-hours attendances are simply a telephone call away.

Apart from general maintenance, various water quality tests are conducted onsite and inspection records are kept. Reports are given to you for your retention and are also sent to your local Council in order to comply with their conditions of approval.

Maintenance Program

The following information covering the requirements and maintenance for the first, second and subsequent years of operation is provided for your guidance:

Every 6 months your technician will:

  • make adjustments to the air intake (where necessary);
  • make adjustments to the sludge return (where necessary);
  • clean the plant (if necessary);
  • test and replenish the purifiers;
  • check and report on sludge levels;
  • perform onsite tests of the water quality;
  • report to your local council;
  • service and maintenance check the blower, irrigation pump and electrical systems, including the alarms.

Renewal of your maintenance program

An offer to renew the maintenance program will be provided at the expiration of each annual contract and will remain open for 30 days.

Wastewater Disposal Areas
There are various ways of disposing of the treated wastewater, which will be decided between your local Council and (in most instances) your Geotechnical Engineer. The simplest way is by above-ground heavy droplet spray, but other methods are shallow subsurface irrigation, evapotranspiration beds or pressure compensating drip systems. Once the method of disposal has been decided, we will provide you with a firm quotation.

Site Inspections
Site inspections to your block are easy - just call us.

Excavation
We can provide the excavation service for your treatment plant and/or rainwater tank. This service also includes the required bedding sand and water. Of course if you wish to provide the excavation yourself, that's OK. We will provide you with a drawing showing the dimensions of the hole to be excavated, the amount of bedding sand required and instructions for filling with water.

Unloading the concrete tankDelivery & Placement
Unless otherwise requested, all of our quotations include the freight to cart the treatment plant/water tanks to your site, and the crane hire to unload the tanks and place them into the prepared excavation (yours or ours).

Treatment Plant Owner's Guide
As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, we have produced an Owner's Guide for your treatment plant. The guide is informative, easy to read and is provided to assist your understanding of your treatment plant.

And very importantly . . .
